Today I am decorating my room all Christmas-like. I cannot pretend that Christmas doesn't make me incredibly happy, because it still does. I have twenty pages worth of papers to write for this coming Wednesday, and last night while I was working down in the basement with Lizzie and Elda, we blasted Christmas music and sang and danced around the room. I think for once we might have actually fit it with everyone else in this dorm hahaha. I definitely have taken Christmastime for granted in the past, because as much as I like to think I am happier in the summer, snowfall and decorating the tree in December with my family might be the happiest I am all year. I cannot wait to spend time with my family. Over the past months I have come to realize that there is nothing that compares to the bond I have with my parents and brothers, because it is forever. It is the only assured relationship I have always had, and will always have - even if I don't even like them at times.

This year for my Mom's side of the family's Christmas party, we are all traveling down to my gay uncles amazing house in P-Town and spending the night there. This means I will be able to party with all my cousins for once and not have to be the designated driver! Getting drunk with my entire extended family and spending the night in P-town is definitely a first this Christmas. Two more weeks :D
