Family games.

Every time my family plays a game together, it ends it bad tempers and angry fits. Every day this week we have attempted to play games together and each game has ended in a similar way. Monday night, we played Guesstures and my brothers felt it was necessary to belittle me each time I was the person acting out that I got so vexed and quit in a huff until my Dad called me a sensitive baby so I returned only to sit there, refusing to be the actor and only guessing. While playing cribbage Tuesday with my brother Tom and my Mom, Tom got so annoyed that he was losing that he threw the cards up in the air, and stormed out when I was three pegs away from winning. Later that day I was playing with my Mom who cheated by not telling me I didn't move my pegs enough spaces, and continued to win by four pegs and told me only after she won that I had forgotten and said it was my problem I didn't realize it. This afternoon we decided to play Blurt we all just remarked on how stupid it was until we quit five minutes later. I actually really do want to mention on this blog about how bad that game was. The definitions were borderline retarded. I can't remember specifics, but the game was definitely made by foreigners. Not to be .. whatever .. but someone who spoke fluent English wouldn't define words in such an awful manner. Tonight really took the cake though. We played Scrabble and had more arguments than all week combined. First, my Mom was "taking to slow," and my Dad and Tom were "distracting her" even though it was "impossible to distract someone when the words they make are only 4 letters." My Dad and Tom quit on two separate occasions, but the game ended up in a controversial victory by me! Woo words!

Let's just say game play honestly brings out the worst of everyone in my family.
