It feels nice to be back home. Pennsylvania was a great trip, but it sort of ended on a bad note, being the car ride that lasted over six hours. At one point in the car, I could feel my patience slip away as if flew right out from me like the ever-shifting rain flew from the car. My body was numb, and my thoughts became isolated and hard to keep track of. Picking out songs became a chore, and the struggle to stay awake made me feel fortunate that I wasn't driving. I really think that only Kathryn could drive all that way, otherwise she would have been worried the entire time anyways.

Kathryn just informed me that the famed body that had disappeared in Lake Wallenpaupack a few weeks ago surfaced today, just two days after we were swimming in it. Supposedly it was found not far from where we were swimming, which is really disturbing. What if I had touched it? What if I was the person who discovered it? I would have been scarred for life.

It is hot today, and I had to work while everyone was outside having fun in Newport, Boston, the beach and various other fun places. Want to know what else sucks; my brother's car broke down so we are a car short, which means I am sharing my car getting rides places again. Oh sweet Admiral, how I have taken you for granted! I long for nothing but to be the sole owner to your glorious silver soul!

I realized that I like the day so much better than the night. It's always been that way. When it's light I am much more apt to be outside enjoying nature, and letting the warm sun yellow my face and nourish my surroundings. I would have to agree with the great Sheryl Crow in her lyrics, "I want to soak up the sun, I've got my 45 on so I can rock on." Maybe not that last line, but I do! I want to soak up the sun! It makes me more active. Just sitting here at my computer it's changed to dusk and I already feel different and unlit in more than the sense that it's not longer bright. I mean, the night is better is some cases, of course. I just find more enjoyment in the sun. It's the best right before it goes down. It illuminates beauty in everything, even people look better with a hint of sun in their eyes where the lighting is subdued just enough to brighten them and not wash them away.

My Dad ordered Dream Girls through Netflix as he said "for me and my Mom to watch." I don't know for what reason. Do I come off as the type of person who's first movie choice would be Dream Girls? God, I hope not. I am going to watch it tonight, give it a chance, right? Woo, Beyonce.

Another sunny day, I met you up in the garden
You were digging plants, I dug you, beg your pardon
I took a photograph of you in the herbaceous border
It broke the heart of men and flowers and girls and trees
